EXECUTIVE TEAM

Liv Kobberstad - President

Hey guys! I’m Liv, and I’m very excited to be taking up president of Neurosoc this year. In my free time, 99.9% of my lifeforce goes to cultivating the greatest Neurosoc lineup known to man with the committee. Naturally, the other 0.1% is irrelevant. I can’t wait to meet you all, and to continue to foster the only community where the political and economic state of the world lies on conversational par with a fruit fly.

Frederick Burrows - Vice-President

Hi! I’m Fred and I’ll be Vice Pres for this year! I really hope to be able to continue the fantastic community feel I’ve found in the neuroscience folk. I’m really excited to meet so many new faces this year so if you see me about or have any questions, be sure to give me a shout!

Anastasia Seitan - Head of Media & Marketing

Hi everyone! I’m Anastasia, I’m Romanian and moved to London to study Neuroscience and fell in love with the city! I’m so excited to rejoin Neurosoc and I hope I’ll get to meet all of you at the fun events we have planned this year!

Marcus Siu - Finance & Operations Head

Hey everyone! I’m Marcus from Hong Kong & Australia, and I will be your finance and operations head this year. I’m really excited about the opportunities to explore a variety of events and topics with Neurosoc this year and I cannot wait to meet you all so feel free to say hi if you see me around!

Diane Burnay - Events Head

I'm electrified to be working alongside other passionate students to organise our events this year!  I hope to cultivate a fun and welcoming atmosphere for everyone by planning informal and laid-back social events, as well as enriching and diverse academic talks. Outside of neuroscience, I enjoy cooking—especially experimenting with new recipes—bartending, and being surrounded by nature.

FINANCE & OPERATIONS TEAM

James Watts - Outreach Officer

Hey, I’m James! My goal for this year is to organise as many engaging events as possible for the NeuroSoc as there are so many possibilities to engage in the subject beyond lectures. My priorities will be to make the events as social and varied as possible so that everyone can get something out of the society and collab with other societies so you all have a chance to meet new people.

Maria Macadrai - Sponsorship & Partnership Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Maria, a second year neuroscience student and I am super excited to be part of this great community this year! I’m from Romania but have been living in the UK for the past 5 years, though I still haven’t really gotten used to the weather:)) I love traveling, meeting new people, spending time with friends, going out for drinks, theater and musicals, and more than anything, I love yapping (!!) so feel free to come say hi whenever! I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone!

Paris Goumas - Treasurer

Hey, I’m Paris and I am the treasurer for Nuerosoc this year. I look forward to seeing as many people at the academic events this year and sharing our love for neuroscience. As well as meeting as many people at the socials so come and say hi.

It’s looking like an exciting year for Neurosoc ;) When I’m not occupied with Neuroscience-related activities, I powerlift (come say hi in the Uni gym!), watch terrible shows, read and travel (as much as I can).

Rain Kuzhan - Diversity & Welfare Officer

Hi!! :3 I am Rain, and I will be the diversity and welfare officer this year. I want to make sure everyone is supported and I want to promote inclusivity within our circle. My job this year is to make sure our website (yes i am responsible for all the changes) and other online platforms are smoothly operated & up to date! I’m so excited to work with the committee to form the best version of neurosoc and to meet new people, so if you catch me waddling around on campus, feel free to say hi!
